The following websites are a resource center for knowledge and information about asbestos exposure and asbestos related diseases like lung cancer and mesothelioma. Studies suggest that over 1/3 of patients suffering from mesothelioma in this country are veterans of the armed forces. And of those, victims within the United States Navy are the highest number affected. The content designed for veterans is located here:

From one of our site visitors:
I just wanted to say that, as a history teacher, I have been using your page with information on submarines ( http://site.riversdelivers.org/Submarine_Related_Links.html  ) for my classes.  It's been helpful...thanks for making it!

I thought I'd pass along another page I've been using with my students:  http://www.partsgeek.com/mmparts/history_of_the_sub.html

There's lots of resources on there for history of submarines, parts of submarines, and how submarines were used in wars.  My kids seemed to like it.  It's a fun addition to our history lessons.  Perhaps you and your visitors will find it useful as well.  Hope I could help!

Sincerely,
Ms. Sarah Hanson
