It may be hard to believe, But the old COB is still around. After the Rivers I retired as Command Master Chief and my disabilities from NAM started acting up. My tour at Sub base Pearl was cut short to only two years. Rivers was my best tour in my 35 years, 5 months, 11 days, and 6 hours. We had the best Officers and enlisted a boat could want, We won every award available and some we can't talk about. It was a crying shame to put that gallant Lady to rest. God Bless Our Navy.

I just wanted to say hello to all the LMR sailors. I served with A-gang from 90-94. I see a picture of Dom and I posing in Puerto Rico. I recognize a couple of the Chiefs in the picture. On the left is Chief Chapman and up front I'm pretty sure was Chief Friedman. I'm currently a Senior Chief stationed at the Naval Safety Center in Norfolk, VA as the DC Analyst. It's good to see this site. This was the best tour of my career.
